Fuji Xerox Launches Two A3 Mono Network Printers

Fuji Xerox Printers has set new performance benchmarks in office network printers with the launch of two monochrome network laser printers, with output speeds ranging from 20 to 30 pages per minute. The two new A3 models – the DocuPrint 205 &305, including entry-level systems as well as high-end systems suitable for large workgroups. The printers are designed with new productivity and performance features including outstanding print quality at full engine speed, innovative paper handling, electronic sorting, toner save mode and easy network management.

For office users who need larger format printing, Fuji Xerox Printers offers two models which support A3-size printing. The highly compact DP205 & 305 printers can be installed in the same space as A4 printers and are priced aggressively to capture the market. The DP205 & DP305 which print 20 pages and the 30 pages per minute.

Fuji Xerox has designed a host of innovative, productivity-enhancing features for the DP205 & 305 printers to bring unmatched performance and value to the office. One key feature is the ability of the new printers to print at full engine speeds at true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. There is no compromise for quality at maximum speed.

DP205 & 305 are powered by a 266MHz RISC PowerPC603 processor and 64MB standard memory which ensure that printers maintain engine speed when handling even large, complex applications. Fuji Xerox Printers unique energy-saving quick-fuser technology also ensures that every printer provides quick warm-up time and fast first-page printout.

Innovative paper handling is a distinguishing feature of this new series of printers. The universal paper tray supports various paper sizes and thickness so that users can load even non-standard media like colour stock, transparencies, long-size paper and envelopes on the universal tray. There is no need to feed paper and envelopes manually or change input trays according to the size of paper.

With maximum paper input capacity of up to 1,800 sheets (1,500 sheets for DP205), the new printers allow continuous feed thus ensuring interruption-free printing for large numbers of users in workgroups.

Another useful feature for productivity is electronic sorting, which means the printers work like copiers and sort as they print. Electronic sorting allows data to be read into memory so that subsequent copies can be read directly, printed and collated speedily.

Both printers come with 10/100BaseT network support as standard. Unlike competitive models, users need not pay extra for network connection.

The new printers are designed for all-round affordability and economic use. Toner consumption is reduced by up to 30 percent with the toner save mode. The printers also feature the lowest power consumption in their class.
Other useful features include:

• IP Address restriction, which ensures output control and may be set individually or for a group
• Security Print function, which protects documents from undesired scrutiny by storing data on the hard disk until unlocked with a password
• Mail Notification Service, which alerts users to situations like toner shortage
• Print functions including watermark printing, 180-degree image rotation, multi-up (N-up) printing

DocuPrint 205 and DocuPrint 305 are available at affordable price from HK$6,988 and HK$9,588 respectively. Both printers provide one-year on-site warranty and are available immediately through Fuji Xerox Printers authorized dealers and resellers.
