Fuji Xerox Printers debuts the WorkCentre PE220

Hong Kong, 3rd May 2006 - Fuji Xerox Printers today announced the launch of the WorkCentre PE220, a speedy solution that offers large office functionality, scaled for both personal and small business use. The Multifunctional Laser Printer combines the powers of print, scan, copy and fax into one extremely compact package, with a print speed of 20ppm and a maximum resolution of 600dpi.

Besides offering print speed that is faster than other devices of its class, the compact printer also has velocity-packed, timesaving features. These include the ability to reduce or enlarge an original to fill the printable area of a letter size page. Made possible by its Auto Fit Copy function, this feature makes easy work of copying otherwise time consuming odd-sized originals.

The device also comes with two other time-efficient features, not found in models of the same composition. With ID Copy, the printer automatically prints both sides of a document, like an ID card on the same side of a printed page. This is the perfect solution for retail businesses or medical departments with a need to document customer or patient information.

The PE220 is further able to convert hard copy documents into spreadsheets, text or HTML formats, and also convert scanned documents to PDF format via its OmniPage and Paperport functions respectively.

Furthermore, the printer is capable of creating and editing phonebook entries via a connected PC. This allows for the easy setup of the fax system data options.

At a recommended retail price of $2,988, the WorkCentre PE220 is available through authorised resellers.
